Nancy Faye Hart Bedard Sullivan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Faye Hart Bedard Sullivan (86) on November 11, 2025.  She has transitioned into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nancy was born February 21, 1939 in Salem, Illinois to Ewing Calvin and Bertha Mae Hart.  She lived in Olathe, KS for the past 15 years, previously residing in Sterling, KS for several years.  Nancy was loved by many, including family and friends who enjoyed her company, sense of humor, cooking creations, artistic gifts of writing her own songs, singing, playing several instruments, wood carving, drawing/painting and knitting/crocheting. She loved animals, especially horses and dogs, fishing, gardening, canning and was a true committed KC Chiefs fan.  She cherished the visits, phone/video calls, texts/emails, cards/letters from family and friends, which brought much joy into her life.

Nancy was a homemaker for most of her life, living primarily in Kansas with a period of time in California.  Along with being a homemaker, she was employed by the Sterling Manor, where she took care of the residents in different positions, she was a cook at a grade school in Arlington, KS, and she started her own business in both Rice and Reno County KS, providing home care for many elderly residents.  She was featured in the Hutchinson Newspaper which covered her important role as a home care provider to many families.  After retirement, as much as possible, Nancy enjoyed spending more time with family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her children:  Tina Raber (Olathe, KS), Teresa Steele (Sterling, KS), Vincent Bedard (Wichita, KS), Cheryl Davis (Sterling, KS), and Jackie Sullivan (Arlington, KS). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, and brothers: William Hart (Lee’s Summit, MO) and Thomas Hart (Russell, KS).  She is preceded in death by her parents Ewing and Bertha Hart, an infant sister Jeannie Carol Hart, and her oldest brother James 'Jim' Hart.

In honor of Nancy's request, no funeral or celebration of life will be held.  Instead, she asked that her ashes be spread throughout places of nature which she loved and found peace/joy being around.  Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated as we grieve the loss of a very special person in our lives.  One of her favorite hymns was 'How Great Thou Art' and a favorite Bible Verse was Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV) “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth”.  We love you and will miss you very much💜.
