Robert D. Annon Sr.

Robert D. Annon Sr., son of Charlie E. and Carrie I. (Snyder) Annon, was born November 6, 1930, in Prairie View, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kansas, on September 20, 2020, at the age of 89.

Bob grew up in the Norton community and attended Norton Community High School. Bob worked construction and also spent many years working for the City of Norton with the maintenance crew. Bob and Crispina Perez were married at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton, on February 1, 1953, and to this union four children were born. He later married Gail Statton on May 8, 1969, in Beaver City, Nebraska, and to this union one son was born. On May 19, 1992, Bob and Phyllis Jimenez were married in Norton. Bob was preceded in death by his wives. Bob continued to make his home in Norton until moving into the Andbe Home when his health no longer permitted him to live at home.

Bob was a member of the First Church of God in Norton. He enjoyed many activities including wood-working, coin collecting, hunting and fishing, model planes, knives, going to auctions and traveling. His greatest joys in life were his family and he especially enjoyed attending the sports activities (especially wrestling) of his grandchildren.

Survivors include: his children, Robert Jr., (Lydia) Annon, Carolyne (Don) Wiseman, Mike and Joe Annon, Christy (Bob) Rutherford, and John Annon and Christopher “Ferd” Davis and sons, all of Norton; one half-brother, David Annon, Denver, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Tammy Annon, Topeka, Kansas; Cami Cornelius, Norton; James Annon, Dallas, Texas; Shelby Willour, Norton; Nikki (Kyle) Wright, Norton; Jeff Annon, Concordia, Kansas; Andrew Soderlund, Norton; Tera Ross, Concordia; Taylynn Annon, Norton; five step-grandchildren, Ashley Wonderly, Shantae Ebner, Jessica Ebner, Brandi Davis and Christopher Davis, Jr.; 22 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his three wives, one sister, Norma Jean Clark, and one step-grandson, Brandon.

FUNERAL SERVICE – Wednesday, September 23, 2020 – 10:30 a.m.

PLACE – First Church of God – Norton, KS

INTERMENT – Norton Cemetery – Norton, KS

MEMORIAL – First Church of God – Norton, KS

VISITATION – Tuesday, September 22, 2020 – 5-7:00 p.m. at the Enfield Funeral Home in Norton.
