The Fort Hays State men's basketball team continues to receive votes in the most recent versions of the NABC and D2CSC Top 25 Polls. This is the second-straight week the Tigers received votes in both polls, but it is the fifth-straight week they have been among the receiving votes section of the NABC poll.
Northwest Missouri State (No. 24) and Missouri Western (No. 25) represent the MIAA in the Top 25 of the NABC poll this week. Missouri Western knocked off Northwest Missouri State this past week to jump back into the Top 25 for a second time this season. Central Oklahoma received the most votes of any team outside the Top 25, while Fort Hays State and Washburn join UCO in the receiving votes list.
In the D2CSC poll, Northwest Missouri State is the only MIAA team in the Top 25, holding the No. 19 spot this week. Fort Hays State is the only other MIAA team referenced in that poll, just five voting points shy of cracking the Top 25.Fort Hays State has been among the Top 25 only once this season, holding the No. 16 spot for a week in the D2CSC poll November 14-20. The Tigers have been in the receiving votes section of the NABC poll for five straight polls now, and the receiving votes section of the D2CSC poll for two straight polls.
The Tigers go on the road this Saturday to Nebraska-Kearney for their only game of the week. It will wrap up a stretch of three consecutive games on the road.
