The National Weather Service in Dodge City reports a slight risk of severe storms today across western Kansas, with the potential for hail 2 inches in diameter.
If low stratus clouds persist across a larger area of western Kansas this afternoon, the slight risk area may be adjusted to a smaller region than the current forecast.
Today's high is expected to reach 67, with a low of 52. Showers are likely Saturday through the night, with a high of 62 and a low of 51. Rain is also likely Sunday during the day, with a high near 61 and a low of 48.
Showers are expected to continue through Memorial Day, with a chance of nighttime thunderstorms. The high is forecast to be 61 and the low 46.
Tuesday will see a short break from the rain with mostly cloudy skies. It will be followed by a possible chance of showers and thunderstorms at night, with a high of 68 and a low of 50.
