🤼‍♂️ Area wrestlers represented in latest KWCA rankings

Several area wrestlers remain ranked in the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association rankings released Wednesday.

Hays High has four ranked in Class 5A. Junior Harley Zimmerman remains ranked No. 1 at 132, freshman Grady Lind is fifth at 106, junior Elijah McCullough is sixth at 113 and senior Cyrus Vajner sixth at 126.

Senior Sarah Zimmerman is ranked No. 1 at 110 for the Hays girls in 6-5A. Sophomore Tionna Napue is second at 115. Both were regional champs this past Saturday at the Dodge City regional.

Ellis continues to have two boys ranked in 3-2-1A. Junior Mason Younger remains No. 1 at 126. Senior Jarrett Mader is second at 144. Plainville also has two ranked. Senior Cohen Kaiser fourth at 132 and senior Kyle Werner is second at 190. Hill City has three ranked. Sophomore Alexander Hamel is ranked fourth at 106, sophomore Dayton Stephens is fourth at 150 and junior Aiden Amrein is fifth at 165.

Stockton freshman Carolina Northrup is ranked sixth at 100 in 4-1A girls. Teammate Ashlyn Hahn is fourth at 120. Trego junior Adrian Wynn is fourth at 115. Quinter freshman Cali Wagoner is third at 135, Ellis junior Kaydawn Haag is fifth at 140, Plainville sophomore Zoe Brown is fifth at 145.

The Hoxie boys remain No. 1 in the 3-2-1A team rankings. Norton is third, Smith Center fourth, Ellis eighth and Hill City ninth.
