The Fort Hays State women's basketball team slid three spots in the WBCA Division II Coaches Poll this week (Dec. 12), moving to No. 21 in the national rankings.
This is the second time in program history the Tigers have been ranked 21st in the national coaches poll, and the first time since January 2013. The Tigers are 1-1 all-time when ranked 21st and 149-39 all-time when ranked in the WBCA Top 25.Fort Hays State is one of two MIAA programs ranked in the top 25, with Central Missouri holding steady at No. 3. Northwest Missouri State and Pittsburg State are still in the also receiving votes category this week.
The Tigers are receiving votes in this week's D2CSC National Media Poll, dipping from 19th last week.
Fort Hays State will take its 8-1 record on the road this week when the Tigers take on the Newman Jets Sunday afternoon (Dec. 17, 1:30 p.m.) in Wichita before battling Central Oklahoma on Tuesday (Dec. 19, 5:30 p.m.) in Edmond.
