Robert "Bob" Dean Peintner, 72, died Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Dodge City, Kansas.
He was born on February 21, 1951, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Hugo and Delphine (Indiek) Peintner. He graduated from Windthorst High School and received a B.S. in Business Administration from Fort Hays State University. He was a farmer, rancher and lifetime resident of Spearville, Kansas.
Robert was a member of St. John Baptist Church and Knights of Columbus Council #1539, both of Spearville. He has served on the FSA, Offerle CO-OP and USD 381 School Boards. He loved to drive around the country, play snooker, build and fly model airplanes, and enjoy coffee and donuts with the neighbors. He was a good and kind man, respected and loved, and he will be missed.
On August 11, 1973, he married Jolene Clausen in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cawker City, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife Jolene; 4 children, Bart Peintner and wife Liz of Denver, Colorado; Kurt Peintner of Spearville; Ben Peintner and wife Megan of Wright; and Katie Ackerman and husband TJ of Spearville; 2 sisters, Linda Sanko and husband Don of Ellis, Kansas and Jan McConnell and husband Jeff of Marietta, Georgia; and one brother, Gary Peintner and wife Jody of Holyoke, Colorado; 9 grandchildren, Eli, Nolan, Landry, Jaxon, Ellis, Emma, Hudson, Henry and Lawson, with whom he loved to share M&Ms and watch play.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Jane Elwood.
Vigil service will be at 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at the church with Fr. John Forkuoh presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Windthorst. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
