
Bonnie J. Fox, 91, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Lane County
Hospital in Dighton. She was born on July 15, 1930 at Great Bend the
daughter of Henry Corneleus & Edith Mae (Seibert) Schroth. She
married Robert H. Fox on July 18, 1948 at Hugoton. He died on July 20,
2019.
Bonnie attended schools in Macksville and St. John before moving to
Hugoton and graduating from Hugoton High School. She and her husband
moved to Dighton in 1951. She and her husband operated Fox Jewelry
Store and then she started working at the Dighton Post Office and she
retired as the Postmaster. After retiring she helped her husband in the
Crop Insurance business. She was a member of the United Methodist
Church and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading and playing bingo.
She is survived by her 3 Daughters- Karen & Don Wilson of Overland
Park, Penny & Harold Hallmark of Garden City and Shari Speer of
Topeka, 14 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in
death by her Parents, Husband, Step-Father- Millard C. Beaver,
Daughter- Sheila Fox, Son-In-Law- Russel Speer and 2
Great-Granddaughters- Laramie Jo Smith and Dani Jo Triplett.
Funeral Service will be at 1:30 PM Monday at United Methodist Church in
Dighton with Gary Seibert officiating. Burial will be in Dighton
Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church
or JOY Center in care of Boomhower Funeral Home. Friends may call from
1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton.
