Greg Lynn Long, 62, of Oberlin, KS passed away April 8, 2021 in Kearney 
Regional Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1958 in Oberlin, KS to 
Elden and Marilou (Berndt) Long.
 Greg grew up on the family farm in Oberlin and was a 1976 Graduate 
of Decatur Community High School. He then went on to receive an 
Associate’s of Science Degree from Colby Community College and then went
 to work on the family farm. Greg married Mary Erickson June 15, 1985 at
 the Oberlin United Methodist Church. He was a former Faith Lutheran 
Church Council President and Fair Board President. He enjoyed oil 
exploration, listening to music, loudly, and cruising the countryside. 
Greg loved spending time with his family and thoroughly enjoyed the 
relationships he had with his friends.
 Greg was preceded in death by his parents and infant son Geoffrey 
Miles. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; son, Ethan 
(Danielle) Long of Oberlin; daughter, Jenna (Spencer Moore) Long of 
Colby; brother, Brad (Shanna) Long Oberlin; Linda (Brad) Wade of 
Oberlin, and grandchildren: Ayden, Emalee, and Jeffery Long.
