INDIANAPOLIS – Fort Hays State received the No. 1 seed of the four seeds redrawn for the national semifinals in Colorado Springs this coming week. The Tigers, champions of Super Region 3, will take on Rollins College (Fla.), the champion of Super Region 2 in the first semifinal match on Friday (Dec. 12) at 4 p.m. CT / 3 p.m. MT.
Fort Hays State is one of two No. 1 seeds to advance to the national semifinals from the four super regions. Southern New Hampshire was the other, the champion of Super Region 1, which received the No. 2 seed for the semifinals.
Midwestern State of Super Region 4 drew the No. 3 seed after holding a No. 4 seed in its super region. Rollins was the No. 5 seed in Super Region 2 and received the No. 4 for the national semifinals.
This will be Fort Hays State's second time in the national semifinals. The Tigers' first time making the national semifinals occurred in 2018 when they played in Pittsburgh, Pa. That year, the Tigers also drew a team from Florida – Barry University. FHSU and Barry played to a scoreless draw through overtime and the advancing team had to be decided on penalty kicks. Barry went on to win the national title.
The 2025 Tiger team has already pushed past the former program record of wins in a season, which was 17 set by that 2018 squad. They now also look to further their furthest run in the NCAA Tournament this coming week in Colorado Springs, entering with a record of 20-0-3 overall. This will be their first-ever meeting with Rollins. The Tars enter with a record of 13-4-5 overall.
The other semifinal match between Southern New Hampshire (17-2-2) and Midwestern State (17-3-3) will be played following the FHSU vs. Rollins contest.
