Scott was a proud graduate of Argonia High School, where he completed his studies in 1989. He furthered his education at Dodge City Community College, where he also played football, before earning his degree from Washburn University in 1992, followed by his Juris Doctor from Washburn Law School in 1996. His educational journey laid the foundation for a successful legal career that he pursued with passion and integrity.
In addition to his professional achievements, Scott was known for his dedication to his family. He was the proud father to five sons. His role as a father was a source of immense pride. One of his greatest joys was coaching his sons in football, baseball, and basketball.
Scott was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 33 years, Kristin Palecki; father to his sons Joshua, Jack, Zachary, Samuel, and Thomas Palecki; father-in-law to Alethea Palecki, Allison Palecki, and Rachel Adent.; grandfather to Theodore and Elias Palecki; son to Ronald and LeaAnn Palecki; brother to Steven and Daniel Palecki; brother-in-law to Shanna Palecki; uncle to Bailey Imthurn, Callie, Brandon, Ryan, Madison, and Nicolas Palecki.
Among his many hobbies, Scott found great pleasure in spending time at the lake, playing golf, attending sporting events, and enjoying live music with his wife. He also loved boating, travel, and activities that allowed him to connect with nature and share memorable experiences with friends and family.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Scott will be held on March 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Iron Horse Golf Club, located at 15400 Mission Rd., Leawood, KS 66224. This event will serve as a heartfelt gathering for all those whose lives he touched.
