THOMAS COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Tuesday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Ford Explorer driven by Madison R. Norton, 20, Park, was eastbound on Interstate 70 near the Oakley exit.
The driver lost control when the side rear tire failed. The vehicle rolled and came to rest in the median. EMS transported Norton to the hospital in Colby and a passenger Taylor D. Bunch, 25, Wallace, to the hospital in Oakley. Bunch was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP. One juvenile was present in the vehicle. Juvenile record protected data.
