Ellis County Sheriff's Office
The Ellis County Sheriff's Office is reminding drives to slow down and obey posted speed limits. Speeding contributes to thousands of fatal crashes and even more serious injuries every year. By choosing to drive within the speed limit, motorists can help keep everyone on the road safe.
Drivers can also expect to see increased law enforcement on local roads during a statewide traffic safety campaign, which runs Oct. 8-19.
Speeding is an aggressive driving behavior that puts everyone at risk. Driving faster doesn't mean arriving safer. Choosing to obey posted speed limits helps reduce the number of injuries and fatalities due to crashes.
