🏊 HHS swimmers 4th at Wichita NW meet

WICHITA – Hays High swimmers continued to compete well against some of the best in the state Saturday, placing in eight events en route to a strong team finish at the Wichita Northwest Invitational.

The Indians recorded 10 top-eight finishes and scored 208.5 points to place fourth in team scoring in the 15-school meet.

Karsen Flaska led HHS in scoring with a championship effort in the 100-yard backstroke and a fifth-place finish in the 200y individual medley. The senior also helped two relay teams place in the top three (second in the 200y medley and third in the 200y freestyle).

Two other classmates also placed in several events each – Chase Zadina (four) and Jude Hileman (three).

Next action for the Indians will be Thursday at the Salina South meet.
