The National Weather Service in Dodge City is forecasting a chance of thunderstorms before 10 tonight in Hays and areas directly west and north.
The main hazards will be wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph, accompanied by locally heavy rainfall and possible hail.
In a second area, south and west of Hays, including Scott City and Garden City, there is a chance of thunderstorms between 8:30 and 10:30 tonight.
Threats include winds of 50 to 60 mph and heavy rain.
The forecast for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday is dry and includes highs at or above 100 degrees.
A chance for rain returns Wednesday night.
