David J. Faulkner

David John Faulkner, age 70, WaKeeney, died January 1, 2021, at his farm.  He was born July 6, 1950, to Leo and Mabel (Harger) Faulkner.  

David was a graduate of Hays High School in 1969.  He was a member of Christ the King Parish in WaKeeney, the Knights of Columbus and Eagles.

David was a lifelong farmer and rancher. The family homestead of over 100 years was his pride and joy.

He never missed mass, local auctions or coffee at McDonalds. 

David is survived by siblings Margaret (Alvin) Armbrister of Ellis, Katheryn (Bob) Wilson of Abilene and brother Leo Faulkner of Hays; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Elaine Weigel. 

Family and friends alike could always count on his kindness and generosity.  He will be greatly missed by all.

A rosary service will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Christ the King Parish Center, WaKeeney.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney, with Father Rich Daise as celebrant. Burial will be in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
