KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State forward Taisei Arima was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Team on Wednesday. He is a third-team selection at forward, following a season that saw him earn GAC/MIAA Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Arima was the GAC/MIAA Offensive Player of the Year in 2021, finishing the season with eight goals and eight assists. He produced 21 points in the regular season and finished with 24 after producing three assists in the NCAA Tournament, including helpers on both of Fort Hays State game-winning goals in the tournament. He helped the Tigers make their fifth appearance in the national quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament, all part of run of nine-consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

With Arima earning this honor, Fort Hays State Men's Soccer has two All-America selections this year after Alec Bevis collected D2CCA All-America Third Team honors earlier on Wednesday. Fort Hays State has now had multiple All-America selections in men's soccer for the last three full-length seasons (2018, 2019, and 2021). Arima joins Santiago Agudelo (twice) and Mauricio Castorino as the only NSCAA/United Soccer Coaches All-America selections in program history.
