In Hays, the overnight low is expected to drop to 2 below zero, with wind chills dropping to 15 below.
A high of 27 is predicted Tuesday, as the mercury is expected to rise throughout the week. By Friday, a high temperature near 50 is expected.
After snow flurries Sunday night and Monday morning, there is no additional precipitation in the long-range forecast, the NWS said.
