
Dolores A. Burgardt, 76, died on November 27, 2021, at the University Of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus. She was born on February 27, 1945, at Hays, Kansas, to Aloysius & Cleopha Elizabeth (Herrman) Leiker. She married Elmer Burgardt on December 31, 1966 at Great Bend. He survives.
Mrs. Burgardt was a Great Bend, Kansas, resident. She was a part owner of the Tumble In Laundromat and most recently worked various jobs at nursing homes and restaurants. Dolores was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima and the Altar Society, a senior companion, and enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Burgardt, of the home; two sons, Elmer Burgardt, Jr. of Great Bend, Kansas, Joe (Paula) Burgardt of Foley, Minnesota; two daughters, Rhonda (Chris) Hill of Granby, Colorado, Angela Lemonds of Hutchinson, Kansas; one brother, Donald (Toni) Leiker of Great Bend, Kansas; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Darlene Dean.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021, with Altar Society rosary at 4:00 p.m., with Vigil and rosary at 7:00 p.m., all of Bryant Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Prakash Kola presiding. Interment will be in Golden Belt Memorial Park, Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to Dolores Burgardt Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
