Carl Joseph Mumm, 91, of Selden, KS passed away May 20, 2021, in Hoxie,
Kansas. He was born April 15, 1930, in Rural Sheridan County, Kansas, to
Anthony and Mary (Kemper) Mumm.
Carl lived in the same home for 89 years in Selden. He married
Delores Schmaderer on February 9, 1963, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church
in Atwood. Carl was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church
in Selden and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his spare
time, he enjoyed playing cards, which he was quite good at, and bingo.
He loved to joke and talk and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary; wife,
Delores and brother-in-law, Cletus Ritter.
He is survived by his sister, Wilma Ritter; nephews: Mike Ritter, Bernard Ritter, Robert (Laura) Ritter, Michael (Sharon) Schmaderer, Timothy (Susan) Schmaderer, and Gregory (Julie) Schmaderer; nieces: Juanita (Kenneth) Denning, Karen Simon, Marianne (Pie) Garza, Janet Baalmann, Carleen (Steve) Brewer, and Denise (Michael) Martin, and numerous cousins.
