Linda Kae Sulzman, 77, of Hays, died Tuesday, December 17, 2024. She was born November 18, 1947, in Norton, Kansas, to Merton and Dorothy (Davis) Goodman. Linda graduated from Jennings High School in 1965 and on July 27, 1965, married Ronald “Chappy” Sulzman. The couple lived in Hays where Linda was a homemaker until their three children were in school. She then went to work at Walmart in Hays as one of their first employees and worked there until her retirement.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, going for walks, and spending time outdoors. Above all, she loved being a grandmother and supporting her grandkids at all their activities and sporting events.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald “Chappy”, and her brother Lynn Goodman.
She is survived by her children, Kyle (Erika) Sulzman, Shawn (Julie) Sulzman and Roni (Dale) Dietz; sisters, Marcia (Larry) Stapp, Xandra (Chuck) Waggoner, Tina Perdue and Kendra (Curt) Giebler; sister-in-law Sheryl Goodman; grandchildren, Shelby (Andrew) Bach, Kirsten (Zack) Schilowsky, Sydney (Brady) Jacques, Shane (Tori) Sulzman, Sheldon (Dayanera) Sulzman, Jeremy Dietz and Dani (Seth) Ackerman and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time.
