NORTON — The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin work on a bridge repair project along U.S. 36 in Cheyenne County the week of June 16.
Crews will be repairing the South Fork Republican River bridge located approximately 1.5 miles west of St. Francis. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone and directed by a temporary traffic signal. Motorists should anticipate delays of up to 15 minutes during the project.
Work is expected to be completed in September, conditions permitting.
PBX Corporation, of Salpulpa, Oklahoma, is the primary contractor with a total contract cost of approximately $345,000.
