MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Kaleb Hammeke of Fort Hays State was named to the D2CCA All-Central Region Team for the 2024-25 season. This is the second-straight year he was named a second-team selection.
Hammeke was one of 10 players from the Central Region named to the team, which is comprised of five first-team and five second-team selections. Hammeke was one of three players from the MIAA named to the team, which also included Jordan Frison of Pittsburg State and Jacob Hanna of Washburn.
Hammeke adds this honor to his long list of awards at FHSU. He is a five-time All-MIAA selection, including first-team honors each of the last three seasons. He is also a two-time NABC All-District selection. Last week, Hammeke was the Most Outstanding Player of the MIAA Tournament, helping the Tigers win the MIAA Tournament Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Hammeke enters the NCAA Tournament averaging 16.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He has scored in double figures in 30 of the 31 games played by the Tigers this season. He is the all-time leading scorer at FHSU with 2,070 points and he is the only active NCAA Division II player with at least 2,000 points, 500 assists, and 500 rebounds in a career.
