Julia Emma Heuszel, 98, passed away August 26, 2021, at Stafford County Hospital. She was born April 12, 1923, at Hunnewell, Kan. to Ernest & Vernia (Lockwood) Trost. She married Robert Otto Heuszel on November 18, 1946, at Wichita. He died July 17, 2005.
Julia moved to Great Bend in 1947 and worked at CKMC in housekeeping. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Julia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include, a son, Dale Heuszel and wife Michelle of Salina; a daughter Diane Fischer and husband Harold of Seward; four grandchildren, Zachary Heuszel, Dr. Amanda Heuszel, Matt Fischer and wife Jessica, and Tracy Fischer; and two great grandchildren, Nevaeh Fischer and Garrett Fischer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Heuszel; a son, Dennis Heuszel; a brother, Earl Trost; and a sister, Hazel Bowman.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Great Bend Cemetery, with Pastor Tonya Andrews presiding. Memorials have been suggested to Central Baptist Church and Great Bend Meals on Wheels, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
