🥈 Both Hays High track teams second in Salina

The Hays High boys and girls track teams each took second in Salina at the Salina Central Invitational. 

The girls finished in a tie for second with fellow conference school Great Bend. Each team finished four points behind host school Salina Central who had 92 points.

The boys scored 100 points and where 38.5 points ahead of third. Manhattan took the team title with 150 points. 

Katie Linenberger took the high jump title at 5'3". Lilian McGrath jumped 16'11" for the long jump title. Lyndi Zimmerman added a third gold for the girls by winning the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.50.

Maximo Luna claimed the gold in the shot put at 46'1".

Kamani Jones had the same marks in the high jump and long jump as each events eventual champion. The high jump tie breaker was decided by number of misses. The long jump decided by second best jump. Jones took a third silver home in the triple jump.
