The Hays Arts Council is pleased to announce the newest members to its Board of Directors. Established in 1967, the Hays Arts Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts in Hays, Kansas. Through its wide range of programs, events, and exhibitions, the Hays Arts Council enriches the cultural vibrancy of the region.
The newly appointed members joining the Board of Directors are:
● Kaiti Blackburn, Jana’s Campaign
● Sherrida Johnson, first-year art education student at Fort Hays State University, serving as the student representative
"We are excited to welcome these individuals and their ideas to the Hays Arts Council," said Brittney Squire, current president of the board of directors. "While this marks a new chapter, it is also bittersweet.
"After 16 years (non-consecutively) on the board, we bid farewell to longtime board member Jennifer Sauer and Ben Dome, our youth representative of two years. Their contributions and presence will continue to be part of the fabric of our organization.”
The Hays Arts Council also expresses its gratitude to the existing board members for their dedication.

This is an exciting time for the Hays Arts Council as the organization is engaged in the For the Heart of Hays campaign to renovate its facilities in Downtown Hays.
