A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 8 p.m., the National Weather Service in Dodge City reported.
There is a 60 percent chance of rain Sunday evening and into early Monday morning.
Damaging winds and hail are possible, the NWS said, noting winds could gust to nearly 50 mph. The wind is expected to cause visibility issues with blowing dust.
