ELLIS -The Trego Golden Eagles had one individual champion and three second place finishers on their way to claiming the Mid-Continent League Tournament championship Friday at Ellis High School.
At 120 pounds Adrian Wynn pinned her way to an individual championship.
She started the tournament with a third period fall over Mariah Barnett from Hoxie. Her second round victory was a first period fall over TMP’s Molly Helget and Wynn earned a first period fall over Kinsey Zorn of Russell in her final match of the day clinching the individual championship.
Kallan Rothfhild at 115 pounds, Layla Magana at 135 pounds and Myah Mattheyer at 155 pounds all earned second place finishes for the Golde Eagles.

The Plainville girls finished second as a team with one individual champion and five second places finishers.
Kaeleigh Klein earned the title at 100 pounds. She recorded three first period falls on her way to the title.
AaLeyah Becker at 110 pounds, Taryn Bieker at 125 pounds, Ella Normandin at 140 pounds, Zoe Brown at 145 pounds and Caydance Carter at 190 pounds all earned second place finished for the Cardinals.
Lillian Garcia finishes third at 155 pounds.
Trego finished with 111 total team points. Plainville was second with 102 points, followed by Russell (95), Oakley (93) and Norton (72).
Ellis finished sixth as a team. The Railers had three individual champions.
Callie Priest at 110 pounds, Maleah Vine at 135 pounds and Kaydawn Haag at 140 pounds.
TMP’s Molly Helget finished fourth at 120 pounds as the Monarchs finished 11th as a team.
