Grow Hays
Following the recent resignation of board member Bob Muirhead, the board of directors of Grow Hays, Inc. has appointed Fort Hays State University President Tisa Mason to its 2023 board of directors. President Mason will fulfill Muirhead's three-year term through the end of 2023.
"We are very thankful to Bob Muirhead for his dedicated service to the Grow Hays Board of Directors and the economic welfare of Ellis County," Grow Hays Executive Director Doug Williams said. "He has served multiple terms on the board, and he will be missed. At the same time, we are privileged to have a leader like Dr. Mason assume Bob's spot on the Grow Hays Board. Fort Hays State University is extremely important to Ellis County and western Kansas, and having Dr. Mason as a member of the Grow Hays Board of Directors will contribute to the future success of both organizations."
Mason expressed her gratitude for the appointment: "Grow Hays stands at the forefront of our community's unified and comprehensive efforts to improve the quality of life in our community. I am honored by this appointment, and I look forward to joining in the important economic development work of the board."
