TOPEKA – Postseason brackets for local softball teams were released Wednesday. TMP-Marian (24-2) earned the top overall seed in 2-1A Regional 4 and will host No. 16 Elkhart/Rolla (0-22) Monday at 5:30 p.m.
The winner of that game will face the winner of the No. 8 vs. No. 9 matchup between Sylvan-Lucas (13-11) and South Sumner (8-10) in the semifinals on Wednesday.
The bottom side of the bracket features No. 4 Stanton County (16-6) vs. Ell-Saline (8-16) and No. 5 Sterling (13-7) vs. No. 12 Ellinwood (8-16). The two winners meet in the semifinals.
The two semifinal winners will play for a trip to the 2-1A state tournament.
The highest remaining seed from the quarterfinal round will host the semifinals and finals on May 20.
