Longtime Goodland resident Mark DeWayne Bantam, 62, passed away at his home in Goodland on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

Mark was born at Ramstein Air Force Base in Heidelberg, Germany on Dec. 7, 1959 to Jerry D. and Donna (Breathouwer) Bantam.  He was one of three children.  Mark attended school in Norton and graduated from Norton High School in 1978.

Mark had a love for flying and was an agricultural spray pilot for most of his life.  He enjoyed cooking, fishing, long-range marksmanship, woodworking, sprint car racing and off-roading.  His larger than life presence and selflessness touched many lives. Mark will be truly missed among his family and friends. 

Preceding him in death was his father Jerry, his paternal and maternal grandparents and one nephew, Ryan Bantam.

Surviving family includes his mother Donna Bantam of Norton; his significant other Marla Allen of Goodland; his son Joshua (Stephanie) Bantam of Wichita, two brothers; Michael (Patti) Bantam of Boise, Idaho, and Randy Bantam of Norton; two grandchildren Gavin and Shelby Bantam; one uncle Fred Lindenmeyer of Wichita; many cousins and a host of friends.
