Kansas woman hospitalized after car strikes a deer on I-70

RUSSELL COUNTY—A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 1:30a.m. Sunday in Russell County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Ashton C. Tabor, 20, Wichita, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of Bunker Hill Road when it struck a deer.

The car crossed the median and and traveled westbound on the interstate until coming to a stop.

EMS transported Tabor to the hospital in Russell. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
