The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association released its first boys and girls wrestling rankings of 2026 Tuesday. The Hays High girls sit at No. 7 in Class 5A. The Russell girls are No. 1 in 3-2-1A with Norton second, Plainville third, Oakley fourth, Smith Center fifth and Stockton 10th.

The Hoxie boys are No. 1 in 3-2-1A with Norton second, Russell sixth, Ellsworth seventh and Smith Center eighth.

The Hays girls have five individuals ranked. Freshman Audrey Yarmer is fifth at 105, junior Kenlee Vehige is fourth at 120, junior Timber Lovewell is third at 145, senior Lexi Barnett is third at 155 and junior Eleanor Stoffel is fourth at 190.

The Indian boys have three individuals ranked. Sophomore Archer Amrein is fifth at 175, senior Jonathan Rigler is third at 190 and junior Tanner Geist is sixth at 285.

There are several area boys wrestlers ranked No. 1 in Class 3-2-1A. Russell’s Xzander Donner at 106 and Xzephren Donner 120, Hoxie’s Ian Giancola at 132, Blake Buresh of Phillipsburg at 157, Ellsworth’s Keegan Urbanek at 190 and Micah Galvan at 215.

The area girls ranked No. 1 in 3-2-1A include Smith Center’s Micah Galvan at 110, Norton’s Kaison Miller at 125, Averie Counts of Russell at 130, Halle Pfannenstiel of Norton at 140, Kinsey Zorn or Russell at 145, Aaliyah Trevino of Russell at 155, Plainville’s Lillian Garcia at 170 and Norton’s Cadence Greeson at 190.
