A wide swath of snowstorms blanketed western Kansas on Tuesday, dropping&nbsp; 27 inches of snow in Weskan in Wallace County.

Hays was at the far eastern edge of the system with 1.5 inches, according to the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town. Moisture content was 0.14 inches.

January has been a dry month with 0.52 inches of moisture measured to date from 6.5 inches of snow.

Temperatures will<a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/e2bcbbd9-42c1-4753-b33a-697676799855"> gradually warm up this week</a> into the low 40s by Friday.
