⛳ HHS boys place seventh at Dodge City

DODGE CITY – The Hays High boys golf team battled high winds along with 15 other teams and placed seventh at the Dodge City Invitational held at the Mariah Hills Golf Course. The Indians shot a 345. Derby won the team title with a 303, three strokes better than Goddard-Eisenhower. The host Red Demons placed third with a 316.

Braxton Banker shot an 11-over-par 82 and led the Indians with a 22nd place finish. Caleb Thompson shot an 84 and finished 33rd. Cooper Johnson fired an 86 to finish 41st and Truman Johnson was 63rd with a 93.

Derby’s Cael Asmann shot a 5-under 66 and won the individual title by six strokes over Brody Scafe of Goddard-Eisenhower and Maddix Shook of Garden City.
