Flossie George, 79, died on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Lane County Hospital in Dighton. She was born on September 11, 1941 at Eminence, Missouri the daughter of Ivan Lee & Flossie (Hall) Phillips. She married Jerry H. George on April 4, 1964 at Eminence, Missouri.

Flossie attended schools in Eminence and moved to St Louis to work in a factory. After her marriage she moved to the family farm near Ellington, Missouri where she raised her family and later worked at the Paramount Cap Factory and a local diner. In 1988 they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for 5 years where she worked at the Flying J Truck Stop. They moved to Kearney, Nebraska for 23 years where she worked at the Buckle Store and moved to Gove 4 years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kearney, Nebraska and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, Elvis Presley music and attending her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her husband Jerry George, 3 Sons- Jeffrey W. (Elaine) George of Eureka, Missouri, John D. (Tricia) George of Ellington, Missouri & Jerry H. (Kim) George, Jr. of Dighton, Brother- Glen (Donna) Phillips of Mountain View, Missouri, 2 Sisters- Linda (Russell) Snearly of Rogers, Arkansas & Barbara Morris of Willow Springs, Missouri, 7 Grandchildren- Brittany Forney, Emily George, Riley George, Wyatt George, Gracie George, Christian George & Catherine George and 8 Great-Grandchildren- Ayden, Kimberly, Ella, Liam, Brecken, Savannah, Scarlett & Kennedy. She is preceded in death by 4 Brothers- Alfred Phillips, James (Vic) Phillips, Merle Phillips & Ivan Phillips, Jr. and 5 Sisters- Sharon Kay Phillips, Betty Logue, Janet Ellis, Lucille Sherrill & Thelma Sherrill.

Graveside Service will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday at the Gove Cemetery in Gove with Rev Bud Tuxhorn officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Amyloidosis Foundation in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
