The Hays USD 489 school board meeting has been moved to 6:30 p.m. today at the Rockwell Administration Center, which allowed board members to attend the Hays High senior honors ceremony on Monday night.
The board will hear a report from Superintendent Ron Wilson on the the progress of the bond-funded renovations at O'Loughlin Elementary School and Felten Elementary School (formerly Hays Middle School).
The board also will review multiple bids for work at Hays Middle School. They include:
• Wall preparation and texture from Pabst Construction for $18,000
• Painting from JDR for $27,216
• Bathroom remodel from Galssman for $127,686
• Bathroom floors from Ironclad Concrete Coating for $27,487
Fees
The board will consider fees for the 2026-27 school year. The proposed fees are below.

Furniture
The board will consider furniture purchases for Felten and O'Loughlin schools from Circadia through cooperative pre-bid purchasing contracts to not exceed $275,000 from the five-year capital outlay plan.
The board also has planned an executive session for teacher negotiations.
