STOCKTON – The Victoria volleyball team defeated Thunder Ridge 25-16, 26-24 to win the Stockton 1A Division I Sub-State Saturday and advance to Tuesday’s state quarterfinals.
The sixth-ranked Knights received a first-round bye then defeated Decatur Community 25-15, 25-13 in the semifinals.
The Knights (26-5) will play league rival Central Plains in the state quarterfinals Tuesday in Claflin. The Oilers (27-11) defeated top-seed and host Sylvan-Lucas 22-25, 25-12, 25-18 to advance.
