The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday reported 17 new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Monday.
The state health department also reported an additional coronavirus-related death, bringing the total to 74.

As of Wednesday, the University of Kansas Health System reported 14 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, up from 10 Tuesday.
Since reporting began, there have been 3,890 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 74 coronavirus-related deaths.
