🏀 Tiger women sign three for class of 2026

HAYS, Kan. - Fort Hays State head women's basketball coach Talia Kahrs has announced her initial 2026 signing class. This group features a trio of All-State selections, including two from Kansas and one from Nebraska. Joining the Tigers next fall will be Arika Feldman, Kailyn Hanni and Hadley Walsh.

Arika Feldman - 6-1 - Guard
Little River, Kan. - Little River HS
19 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.2 apg, 3.4 spg, 1.5 bpg

Arika Feldman is a two-time KBCA Class 1A DI selection from Little River HS in Little River, Kan. The 6-foot-1 guard was a first team pick as a junior after collecting third team status as a sophomore. She helped the LadySkins to back-to-back state runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2025 and is a two-time first team all-league pick. Feldman averaged 19.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 3.4 steals and 1.5 blocks per game as a junior.

Feldman was also a standout on the volleyball team, earning not one but two KVA All-State 1A DI Player of the Year honors and helping Little River to four consecutive state championships.

Kailyn Hanni - 5-7 - Point Guard
Silver Lake, Kan. - Silver Lake HS
17 ppg, 6 apg, 6 rpg, 3 spg

Kailyn Hanni has earned first team All-State honors each of the last two seasons at Silver Lake High School in Silver Lake, Kan. She's helped the Eagles to the Kansas Class 3A state tournament each of the last three years, taking the title as a sophomore in 2024, finishing runner-up as a junior in 2025 and placing fourth as a freshman in 2023.

The 5-foot-7 point guard was a Class 3A Player of the Year finalist in 2024 and 2025 while earning first team All-State honors from the KBCA, Sports in Kansas and KSHSAA Covered. She is a two-time first team all-league pick, a two-time All-Shawnee County Top 10 selection and was a KSHSAA Covered Top-15 All-Classes selection as a junior. Hanni averaged 17 points, six assists, six rebounds and three steals per game as a junior.

Hadley Walsh - 5-11 - Guard
Pender, Neb. - Pender HS
15.9 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 54% FG, 77% FT

Hadley Walsh brings a winning culture to Hays after entering her senior season as a three-time state champion at Pender High School in Pender, Neb. The Pendragons won the Class C2 title when Walsh was a freshman in 2023 before taking home the Class D1 championship each of the last two seasons.

Walsh has earned numerous first team All-State honors from the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star. She was on the All-Class All-Tournament team at the state tournament as a junior in 2025 and was the honorary captain of the Class D1 All-Tournament team that year. The 5-foot-11 guard also has first team all-conference honors and Norfolk Daily News first team Elite-8 accolades to her name. She averaged 15.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while knocking down 54 percent from the floor as a junior.
