Joan P. Zerr, Maize, KS passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023. She was born May 30, 1940, in Quinter, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Amalia (Rohr) Dinkel. She graduated from Grainfield High School.
She married Philip Stephen Zerr on September 4, 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Amalia Dinkel; siblings, Joe, Alvin, Benny, Rudy, Wilma, Adolph, Mildred and followed in death by her brother, Donald.
Joan is survived by her husband, Philip; son, Terry (Stephanie) Zerr of Gardner, KS; daughters, Michele Beilman of Wichita, KS and Kristy (Martin) Unrein of Southaven, MS; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and sister Betty (Ray) Gagnon.
Rosary is at 7 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, and Memorial Mass is at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Wichita, KS. The family asks that intended flowers be sent directly to the church no later than Friday, March 10th. Lunch will be provided following the services.
The interment of the ashes will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Grainfield City Cemetery, Grainfield, KS.
