PLAINVILLE β The TMP-Marian Monarchs girls track team had four first and four second place finishes and won the Plainville Invitational by one point of Ellis who had five first place and four second place finishes. Norton won the boys division by three points over Plainville. TMP-Marian finished in fifth place.
Shalee Gottschalk led the TMP girls with first place finishes in the 100 hurdles (15.55) and the 300 hurdles (50.61). She also finished second in the triple jump (33-08.75) and was a part of the second place 4x100 relay which also includes Shyanne Yost, Navaeh Weigel and Emma Basgall.
Wiegel won the long jump (16-05.5) and Macara Rohr finished first in the triple jump (34-02.0).
In addition to being on the second place 4x100 relay team, Emma Basgall was second in the 100 meter dash (13.32) and the long jump (16-04.5) and placed third in the 200 meters (28.15).
Ellisβ Evelyn Merriman won the 100 meters (13.04) and 200 meters (27.07). Avery Boydston won the 1600 (5:38.84) and finished second in the 800 (:33.92). Isabella Eck took the high jump (5-3.0) and Natalie North the discus (118-08.0). North was second in the shot put (34-01.5).
Kylee Pfeifer finished second in the 300 hurdles (51.93) and Reagan Jimenez placed second in the javelin (96.03.0).
Caydence Carter had the only top-three finish for the Plainville girls, placing third in the shot put (33-4.5).
Caden Becker led the Monarch boys with a second place finish in the 800 (2:15.68).
Logan Russell was the top placer for the Railer boys finishing third in javelin (134-4).
A.J. Brown had the only first place finish for the Plainville boys, winning the 110 hurdles (16.17). Brown placed second in the 300 hurdles (44.40).
Other second place finishes for the Cardinal boys included Roy Bright Jr. in the long jump (19-02.25), Tucker Rudman the discus (145-0) and Braylon Bittel in the javelin (151-11) and shot put (47-1).
