Trisa Gayle Roth (Patrick) of Coldwater, Kansas, left this earth to be with her heavenly father Sunday morning July 19, 2026 and 2:26am. She passed away peacefully at the Via Christi Hospital in Wichita KS after suffering from a brief illness.
(This “Freebird” is now freed from this earthly body to soar as she was intended!)
Trisa was born June 10th 1960 in Topeka KS to Curtis and Barbara Patrick. She attended primary school in Oskaloosa KS, high school in Goodland KS and attended Community college in Colby KS.
Trisa married Joe Welter and to that union came their son, her pride and joy Christopher Welter. She later met and married Simon Roth who preceded her in death.
Trisa was a loving, kind, compassionate, soul who adopted and cared for any stray animal or suffering person down on their luck. She had big heart who would share what little she had with those less fortunate. She had several hobbies, creating art, crocheting, rock collecting, making jewelry, floral arrangements… however she loved plants! Trisa was gifted with a green thumb, she was able to propagate, nurture and grow all kinds, but especially succulents. She followed this passion and made it her career as a landscaper and greenhouse worker.
Trisa was preceded in death by her husband Simon, her mother Barbara, paternal grandparents William and Harriett Patrick, maternal grandparents Glenn Kline, George & Bernadine Bellinger.
Trisa is survived by her father’s current family, Curtis & Jonni Patrick (children Maddux and Rory) of Cheyenne OK; brother Bill (wife Dori) Patrick of Winder GA; sister Traci (husband Roger) Mettlen of Haviland KS; brother Curtis Jr. (wife Denise) Patrick of Laverne OK and brother Shawn (wife Christina) of Norman OK; her Son Christopher Welter of Hastings MN and his family (wife Leaanna and children Isabella, Micah, Carina and Alethea) and grandsons Oliver and Sam Welter. In addition, there are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that will mourn Trisa’s passing.
