SMITH COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Monday in Smith County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 International semi driven by Stefon C. Harrison, 41, Chicago, Illinois, was southbound on K8 at mile post 3.2 when a rodent entered the roadway.
The driver attempted an avoidance maneuver. The vehicle entered the west ditch and the driver over corrected. The semi crossed into the northbound lane, entered the east ditch and overturned on the drivers side.
EMS transported Harrison to the Smith County Hospital. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
