Karol Jean Shihrer, 56, passed away November 26, 2021, at KU Medical 
Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on December 24, 1964, in 
Bakersfield, California to Wayne and Patricia (Cozad) Kochenderfer. She 
was raised by Leonard and Patricia Funderburk.&nbsp;

A Great Bend resident since 2017, Karol previously resided in both 
Lancaster and Bakersfield, Cal. for majority of her life. She was a 
dedicated Jehovah Witness who loved to share Jehovah's word everywhere 
she went. Karol enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, and had an amazing 
green thumb. She loved animals but took special interest in rescuing 
birds. Karol was the wife of Edward Shihrer, the mother of 5 children, 
11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She cherished time with her 
family, especially her grandchildren as the memories made are loved, and
 will be missed tremendously.

Survived by, Husband, Edward Shihrer ;&nbsp; Son, Joseph Shihrer of 
Denton, TX.; and four daughters, Nancy Larson of Bakersfield, CA., 
Patricia Rodgers, April Brenes and Amanda Presley, all of Great Bend, 
KS.

Private Family Services were held in the Great Bend Cemetery North.&nbsp;
