Three Hays women were arrested after a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation.
Hays Police Chief Don Scheibler said 22-year-old Jade Danese Sellers, 24-year-old Arrianna Marie Patterson and 40-year-old Jennifer Lyn Haney were charged with alleged disorderly conduct after a brawl broke out.
Scheibler said the incident took place at 1:46 a.m. July 27 in the 700 block of Park St., where officers on patrol observed a verbal argument escalate into an alleged fight.
Scheibler said there were five to seven people at the scene, but the alleged physical altercation that led to three arrests mainly involved two women. All parties knew each other.
No injuries were reported. All three were booked into the Ellis County Jail.
