
The National Weather Service is warning of a chance of severe thunderstorms in western Kansas beginning early Tuesday evening.
The storms are expected to be isolated and occur between 4 p.m. and midnight east of a Hays-to-Dodge City-to-Greensburg line.
Wind of up to 65 mph and 2-inch hail could be possible, the NWS said.
In Ellis County, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night.
Wednesday is expected to bring more rain, as well, with a 50 percent chance of showers and winds gusting to more than 40 mph. Skies are expected to clear Wednesday evening.
