Tryyaki Asian Cuisine &amp; TeaHouse,&nbsp;located at 2814 Vine St., sustained fire and smoke damage Wednesday morning.

Hays Fire Chief Ryan Hagans said the fire was caused by the spontaneous combustion of cleaning rags in the restaurant’s storage area.

Hagans said that around 6:30 a.m., when the restaurant was closed and empty, a passerby noticed smoke coming from the building. By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had already burned itself out.

Hagans said  there was smoke damage throughout the building. No injuries were reported.

Tryyaki Asian Cuisine &amp; TeaHouse, located at 2814 Vine St., announced on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AtrsUPt3i/">Facebook</a>&nbsp;that it experienced a fire on Wednesday morning and will remain closed until further notice.
