Thunder on the Plains donates $15,000 to area charities

The Thunder on the Plains donated $15,000 to area charities during a ceremony on Thursday.

The annual car show was conducted this year in September.

The following organizations received donations of varying amounts:
• Wonder Women League
• Bethesda Place
• Boy Scout Troop 101
• Options Domestic and Sexual Violence Services
• DSNWK
• Cancer Council of Ellis County
• Veterans of Foreign Wars
• Hays Humane Society
• Western Plains Animal Refuge
• Community Assistance Center
• Hays Area Children's Center
• Early Childhood Connections
• First Call for Help

In addition, the group will be funding scholarships for NCK-Tech students and buying Christmas presents for needy children.
