Driver hospitalized after SUV rolls on I-70

SHERMAN COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 2:30a.m. Tuesday in Sherman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Subaru Forester driven by Mark B. Ratliff, 33, Peterstown, West Virginia, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of Kansas 253.

The SUV left the roadway to the right, entered the north ditch and overturned an unknown amount of times, colliding with an exit sign and came to rest on the drivers side.

EMS transported Ratliff to the hospital in Goodland. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
